Three things set the number.
I don't post fixed prices because every placement is different. Here's what actually changes the cost.
Publication tier
A guest post on Modern Retail or Glossy costs more than one on a smaller ecom-vertical publication. Higher-tier means stricter editorial, more buyer trust, and longer pitching cycles.
Anchor + placement type
Money-keyword anchors on already-ranking comparison roundups cost more than brand-name mentions on broad informational posts. Editors charge proportionally to commercial intent.
Volume + cadence
One-off placements price at the top of the band. 5+ placements per month unlock volume discounts, since editor relationship efficiency compounds.
Discount stacks with cadence.
Discounts apply across both services. Cadence measured monthly, no minimum-month contract.
Honesty about scope.
Editorial link building isn't a full SEO program. Here's what I don't do, and where to look if you need it.
On-page SEO + technical fixes
Schema, page speed, internal links, category-page architecture. Hire an in-house SEO or technical agency for this.
Content production at scale
I draft each guest post, but I don't run a content team. If you need 30 blog posts a month, you need a content agency, not me.
Paid placements / sponsored posts
If a publication's editorial answer is "advertise instead", I pass. Sponsored content is a different game and I don't sell it.
